Inês Lameiras Azevedo, is, since September 2019, a PhD Researcher at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. Her research interests are regulation, law and economics, and environmental law. Under the supervision of Professor Peter Drahos, Inês is developing a thesis about the adaptative power of regulatory capitalism, focusing on the implementation of circular economies within the construction sector.
Between 2016 and 2019, Inês worked as a legal advisor at the Institutional and Regulatory Affairs Unit in the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Division of the Portuguese Central Bank.
Currently, Inês is a Teaching Assistant at the School of Transnational Governance and the Florence School of Regulation, both at the European University Institute. Moreover, she works as a Research Assistant for the Wageningen University, in the Netherlands.
