The Office supports researchers in identifying national and international funding opportunities and in preparing applications for research projects. This support includes identifying and disseminating relevant calls, assisting with the preparation of applications, coordinating administrative and financial information, and liaising with the relevant NOVA School of Law services involved in the submission process. The aim is to provide researchers with dedicated and efficient support throughout the application process and to help create the conditions for the development of new research projects and initiatives.

Once a project has been awarded, the Office provides administrative and financial support throughout its implementation, working closely with researchers and the relevant NOVA School of Law services. This includes monitoring funding, contracts, grants and scholarships, expenditure, procurement procedures, travel, events, reporting requirements and other administrative processes associated with project implementation. The Office helps ensure that projects are managed efficiently and in accordance with applicable requirements. The Office also supports research networks, publications, training activities, meetings and other scientific activities carried out as part of CEDIS projects and research programmes.

The Office supports the organisation, dissemination and visibility of research produced at CEDIS, helping to increase its reach and impact. This includes collecting and organising information on projects, publications, researchers, activities and research outputs, as well as supporting their communication through institutional channels. Science communication is developed in close collaboration with researchers, research teams and other stakeholders, promoting the dissemination of knowledge and strengthening the connection between CEDIS research, the academic community and wider society.
