Recovery and Resilience Plan
Under the 2023/2024 R&D Unit evaluation, CEDIS was funded by the PRR component to carry out its research programme in Law and Society. The operation sustains the unit’s scientific activity, its internationalisation and interdisciplinarity, and the dissemination, teaching and outreach oriented towards legislative and societal impact.

The operation
The CEDIS research programme is organised around three thematic areas, addressing the challenges of the digital and climate transitions from a legal standpoint.
Protection of fundamental rights: non-discrimination, family, migration policy, data protection, corporate responsibility, criminal law and human rights in crisis settings.
Environment and sustainability: ocean ecosystems, protection of airspace and sustainability through intellectual property law.
Compliance, responsible consumption, financial-market regulation, legal innovation, dispute resolution, digital governance, tax reform and data analysis in legal methodology.
Objectives and expected results
The operation is expected to strengthen the unit’s scientific output and dissemination, advanced training and outreach activities, translating into legislative and societal impact and contributing to a more open, international and digitally capable legal research.
