

Joana Campos Carvalho holds a PhD in Law from NOVA School of Law, with a thesis on contracts concluded through digital platforms.
She has been a guest professor at NOVA School of Law since 2016 and is coordinator of the NOVA Dispute Resolution Forum and researcher at CEDIS - Research & Development Centre on Law and Society and at the NOVA Consumer Lab.
She is also a certified mediator and has a postgraduate degree in Arbitration (2010), working as arbitrator and mediator.
She is the author (and co-author) of several texts in the area of contract law (especially digital platforms) and alternative dispute resolution.
She previously worked at the Directorate-General for Justice Policy (2009-2011) and at the Bank of Portugal (2011-2016).
