Yesterday, december 3rd, another NOVA Science and Innovatiuon Day took place at the Rectory, and NSL had a strong presence with the participation of PhD students Ana Coimbra, Ariana Paraíso and Olúwatóyọ̀sí Abíkóyè in the poster presentation session.
Vânia Simões received the impact narrative award which reflected the research project she developed throughout her doctorate – Obstetric violence – improving the access to justice.
Professor Claire Bright and Distinguished Research Professor Jeremy Sarkin were awarded an honorable mention for their impact narratives at this year’s NOVA Science & Innovation Day:
- Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence: upholding Human Rights and Environmental standards in Global value Chains – Claire Bright
- Getting the United Nations to set up an international institution to search for missing and disappeared people in Syria – Jeremy Sarkin
The day ended with the participation of Professor Vera Lúcia Raposo in a round table dedicated to the role of AI in research – HOW IS AI TRANSFORMING THE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION . The conversation brought together representatives of large companies, Professors and Researchers from NOVA’s various Faculties.
Professor Claire Bright also won an award in the “Publications with Impact” category which rewards NOVA scholars with a high Field-Weighted Citation Impact for their scientific publications in the 2021-2023 period.
