III IN_SOLVENS Conference

III IN_SOLVENS Conference
Present and Future Perspectives for Insolvency Law in Portugal

9 December 2024 | NOVA School of Law

On 9 December 2024, NOVA School of Law will host the III IN_SOLVENS Conference: Present and Future Perspectives for Insolvency Law in Portugal.

The aim of this conference is to present the latest results of the work carried out as part of the IN_SOLVENS research project, in particular the discourse of the courts in insolvency and pre-insolvency proceedings and the main determinants of success and failure in reorganisation and insolvency.

At the final round table, the aim is to discuss proposals for legislative changes that encourage the use of pre-insolvency mechanisms and speed up insolvency proceedings.

The conference will be organised as part of the research project ‘Insolvency Law in Portugal: A Multidisciplinary Analysis’ (IN_SOLVENS for short), developed by NOVA School of Law (through CEDIS) and ISCTE (through CIES-IUL).
